Armenian Christmas in Bethlehem

 On Thursday, 18th of January 2007, Homenetmen Jerusalem Scout Group paraded the streets of Bethlehem for the occasion of the Armenian Christmas, which is marked according to the old Christian calendar.

 Homenetmen Jerusalem trumpet and drum teams welcomed the Jerusalem Armenian Patriarch, Torkom Arch. Manogian's and Constantinople Armenian Patriarch, Mesrob Arch. Mutafians's entrance to the Holy City together with hundreds of pilgrims from Jerusalem, Armenia and Turkey.

 On the same day at midnight a Holy Mass was held in the Church of Nativity on the spot where Jesus Christ is believed to be born. Present at the Mass was the Palestinian Chairman, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas.
