Armenian Christmas Reception

On Wednesday, 18 January, 2006, the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem held a reception at the renovated Armenian Convent's hall in Bethlehem for the occasion of the Armenian Christmas.

Present at the reception was the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority His Excellency Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, government officials, Bethlehem's mayor, His Beatitude Torkom Arch. Manougian and the members of the St. James brotherhood, members of the Armenian community as well as the Executive Committee of Homenetmen Jerusalem, who had also met with His Excellency Mr. Abbas.

At midnight, His Beatitude held a Holy Mass at the Church of Holy Nativity, attended by Mr. Abbas and other officials, as well as pilgrims from around the country and Armenia.
