Entanour Joghov 2008

On Friday, the 17th of May 2008, Homenetmen Jerusalem held its 70th General Assembly (Entanour Joghov). The meeting started at 8pm with the opening remarks of the present chairman, yeghp. Serop Sahagian who invited the assembled to choose the governing body of the meeting. Yeghp. Hagop Demirjian and yeghp. Hagop Sevan were chosen as president and secretary respectively.

     After standing a moment of silence in honor of deceased Homenetmenagans, 1 new member was sworn in. The meeting then continued in its traditional way, which included the representation of the 2007-2008 report of the exiting executive committee by yeghp. Harout Baghamian, Kuir Azniv Hindoyan and yeghp Roupen Nalbandian.. Afterwards, the attending members were allowed to question or comment all presented reports, which was followed by a set of suggestions for the coming executive committee.

     After a short break, the meeting resumed to elect Homenetmen Jerusalem's 2008-2009 executive committee. The following were elected to form the executive committee:- Serop Sahagian, Hagop Deldelian, Antranig Demirjian, Garo Baghbouderian, Jojo Sandrouni, Vahe Kassabian, Arpineh Kassabian, Hovahness Ordegyan, and Antranig hindoyan.

The 70th General Assembly came to its end by the singing of "Harach Nahadag".
