Armenians of the Holy Land Celebrated Easter On Saturday, the 7th of April 2007, following the Scouts' Groups of both Homenetmen and Hoyechmen, Grand Sacristan of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem His Eminence Archbishop Nurhan Manogian made a procession from the St. James Armenian Convent to the Church of Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter, followed by hundreds of Armenian pilgrims. On Sunday the 8th of April at 8pm at the Homenetmen Jerusalem Centre's main hall a party has taken place for the occasion of Easter where more than 70 members and supporters of the organization were gathered. On the occasion of Easter past Homenetmen Jerusalem member Yeghp. Vatche Yergatian. now residing in Jordan, donated to the organization and to A.R.S Jerusalem a total of 300 USD. On the same occasion, ex-member Yeghp. Hovhaness Kahvedjian from Pasadena California donated 200 USD to the organaization.
