The Armenian community of Jerusalem held a vigil for the memory of Hrant Dink

On Sunday, the 21st of January 2007 at 7:00pm in front of the Armenian Convents Main Entrance A vigil was held in the memory of Hrant Dink, who was brutally assassinated on Friday 19/1/2007 by a turkish extremist.

     During the vigil, more than 150 Armenian Jerusalemite held candles, and placed flowers in front of the Victims portrait, despite the rainy and windy weather. The event organized by the Armenian organizations of Jerusalem included speeches by the Chairman's of Homenetmen and Hoyetchmen, the reading of the statements of the condemnation of the A.R.F and Ramgavar Parties, reciting of poems and a song dedicated to the victim.

   The event came to its end by the blessing of Father Pakrad after which the crowd remained and lit candles in the honor of the great Armenian Hrant Dink.
