Friday, the 23rd of September 2005, Homenetmen Jerusalem organized a dinner party dedicated to the 14th anniversary of the declaration of the second republic of Armenia. More than 120 people were present at the event, which took place at the main hall of Homenetmen Jerusalem club. The evening was opened by a speech given by Yeghpayr Serop Sahagian, the Chairman of Homenetmen Jerusalem, who, after welcoming the honorable guests, which included his Excellency Mr. Tsolag Momjian the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Israel, academicals, previous chairmen of the organization and members, gave a short insight about the important historical event linking it to the establishment of the first Armenian Republic of 1918, where the bases and facts of today's Armenia were put.

The evening was entertained by the community's well known singer and a Homenetmen member Yeghpayr Garo Demirdjian. After the dinner was served, lottery was drawn and first prize was a couple ticket to Greece, which was won by Mr. & Mrs. Hagop Vanayan from Jaffa.

The successful event came to its close at around 2 a.m.
